It’s been around for a few years now, and following on from the budget third generation LS2 Rapid, the updated LS2 Storm III helmet arrives for 2026.
The main change to the sport and touring helmet is a redesigned KPA (Kinetic Polymer Alloy) outer shell, which is produced in three sizes across the range. One benefit of the new design is that it’s lighter at 1600g, and had more effective aiflow with a big new upper air intake to keep you cool in warm weather. And the new shape also claims to offer better protection if you’re unfortunate enough to test it out.
Aside from the shell change, it’s largely business as normal. So you get a chin strap with an emergency release system and a micrometric buckle, a removable, washable and breathable lining, and a scratch and UV resistant visor that comes with a Pinlock 70 MaxVision anti-fog insert as standard. Plus there’s also a drop-down sun visor if you don’t want the hassle of changing to a dark visor in sunny conditions, or getting pulled over by the police when it gets darker.
It’s also ready to use with the LS2 Spectrum Intercom if you want to communicate on the move, and is obviously ECE 22.06 certified for road use.
The LS2 Storm III is available in sizes 2XS-3XL in solid Black, White or Nardo Grey for £139.99. Or for £159.99, you can get the Jeans gloss finish or one of eight graphic options.
You can order LS2 helmets online from GhostBikes (or RevZilla in the U.S), including some good discounts and deals. If you’re looking for a new motorcycle helmet, why not check out our other Helmet news and articles, or our previous coverage of the LS2 range?
