If you need a new off-road motorcycle helmet for 2021, then the LS2 MX700 Subverter Evo gets a new shell and designs to keep you safe and in the latest colour schemes.
It’s apparently one of the most popular MX helmets produced by the company, and comes in solid White or Matt Black. Or you can choose the Rascal, Astro and Cargo designs for a little bit more. And the Matt Military Green Cargo is probably going to prove popular with a lot of riders.
The redesigned outer shell continues to be made from LS2’s own Kinetic Polymer Alloy material which combines strength with flexibility to both absorb energy in a crash, and still stop anything piercing the helmet. And it’s still pretty lightweight at just 1300 grams, with the option of three outer shell sizes, so you can choose the smallest, lightest and most aerodynamic option.
The other benefit of multiple outer shell sizes is that it avoids a large shell being filled with unnecessary extra padding for smaller heads, which then gives way far too quickly.
Off-road riding can be sweaty work, so there are multiple vents and channels for good airflow. And the breathable, hypoallergenic lining is removable and washable. So there’s no excuse for leaving it caked in dirt and sweat all year.
The long peak is adjustable to get the right mix of protection and visibility, and you should have space to accommodate most motocross goggles. The chin strap is reinforced and fixed with a metal security plate, plus a D-Ring fastener. But there’s also the Emergency Release System cheek pads to let the helmet be removed with miminal movement after an accident.
The 2021 LS2 MX700 Subverter Evo motocross helmet is fully ECE 22.05 certified, so it’s legal to ride on UK roads in it. And it also has the ACU Gold sticker for off-road sport use.
It’s available in sizes XS-3XL. The solid colours will set up back £119.99, and the graphics options are all available for £139.99.
