A big win and a big blow at Oliver’s Mount Hill Climb, Scarborough…Sam recounts

May 14, 2013 By WebMistress Leave a Comment

by Sam Matthewman. Oliver’s Mount at just 35 miles away is my local and favourite track. Run by the northern club the Auto66. I’ve been racing there since 2000 picking up a fair few wins and occasionally holding the outright Course Record. Last year I took the record back from good friend and local man […]

If you need a pair of left hand gloves head to the BMF this weekend… see ya there!

May 14, 2013 By WebMistress 1 Comment

The BMF Show is once again upon us, all roads lead to Junction 17 on the A1M. Peterborough. The event continues to draw me there, even though most visits result in me saying “Won’t bother with that next year” and it must be worse if you’ve actually paid to get in? Years ago it was […]

Team Gibson hit the road for round 2 at Brands Hatch

May 14, 2013 By WebMistress Leave a Comment

It was back to our local track for the second round of 2013. Since the Snett winter weekend last month I would like to say we have spent hours preparing Ben’s TZR. However we haven’t, nothing needed doing. So his time was spent getting his TZ250 finished after a complete rebuild since buying it last […]

Team Gibson head to Snetterton for Round 1 of the Yamaha Past Masters

May 7, 2013 By WebMistress Leave a Comment

Snetterton in March was never going to be warm. But in the days leading up to the round, the weather guys were predicting an ice age! Never believing what you see on TV we packed the caravan, loaded Ben’s bike in the van and headed off to Snett Thursday evening. If any of you have […]

Mr. Sheene pleasing his fans….another gem from the Etheridge archive.

May 7, 2013 By WebMistress 1 Comment

This great pic, taken by Graham Etheridge, shows Barry Sheene during the early part of 1976, signing autographs for kids and Mums with handbags!  To all, Barry had a certain kind of appeal and he went on to win the first of his two 500cc GP World titles later.

Take a look at Sean Allen’s LC Stripdown time lapse…!

May 5, 2013 By WebMistress 1 Comment

Just watch this great video of Sean Allen stripping down his Yamaha RD350LC. The classic two stroke was reduced to a frame in over 780 photos, taken at 5 second intervals. Which would be approximately 3900 seconds, or one hour and 5 minutes. Still, we’ll call it a couple of hours to be on the […]
