Available for both male and female riders, the new Weise Norvik denim motorcycle jeans are AA rated with a single layer of stretch 390gsm material.
For protection there are double and triple-stitched main seams, and biodegradable RE ZRO Level 1 removable CE armour at the hips and knees, which is breathable, slim and light. Which is handy if you’re riding in jeans because you’re planning to spend time wearing them at work or around town when you’ve parked up.
In terms of looks and practicality, they’re a classic five pocket style with a zipped fly, button waist and a semi-bootcut to fit over riding boots. And the rivetless design means you don’t risk hot metal on skin if you’re unlucky enough to slide along any tarmac.
Being AA rated means they’re more suited to urban riding and commuting than going for a triple-A pair, but will still be better than A rated or normal high street denim in terms of protection. And the best gear is always the stuff you actually use rather than something that sits in a cupboard because it doesn’t fit properly or makes you hot and uncomfortable. If you’re looking for AAA jeans, Weise do offer other options, such as the Citadel jeans at £199.99.
The Weise Norvik denim motorcycle jeans are available in Men’s waist sizes 30″ to 42″ in short, regular and long leg lengths, and Women’s sizes 8-22 but only in a regular leg length. Black is the only colour option available, and they cost £159.99. Weise do stock a range of men’s jeans in Blue, but the only option for female riders appears to be the Ridge jeans, also AA rated with Level 2 armour.
You can find them at your local Weise stockist, which actually includes Halfords. And they aren’t the right choice for you, why not check out all our coverage of motorcycle clothing, including the Weise range, and other motorcycle jeans.
