It’s great to see more and more motorcycle kit which is designed for the female shape. And if you’re planning on riding through winter, the new Keis B501W Premium Heated Ladies Bodywarmer could be a great addition to your biking wardrobe.
Like the existing Keis J501 Heated Jacket and V501 Heated Vest, the Ladies Bodywarmer uses slim Micro Carbon Fibre heat panels to spread warmth throughout the fabric. The panels are located in both the front and back for all-round warmth. And the collar is also heated, which is a nice addition to reduce cold and aching necks.
The softshell fabric is breathable and lightweight, and has been designed to give a snug and flattering fit. Plus there are stretch panels running the full length of each side, so you can move around easily. The slim design should mean that you can use the new Keis B501W Premium Heated Ladies Bodywarmer under even close-fitted motorcycle jackets.
Obviously you’ll need to power the bodywarmer. And you get a choice of either using your motorcycle battery or a rechargeable pack. If you go with the Dual-Power supply it’s primarily designed for, you get everything you need to connect to the 12v battery. And with a current draw of 1.5A it won’t overload your charging system and flatten everything.
Alternatively you can use either a Keis 2600mAh or 5200mAh Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack. They are available separately, and will cost you from £49. But it does mean you can then stay warm wherever you go.
If you want to add Keis heated gloves, trousers and insoles, there are built-in connection plugs. And the integrated pockets for cables and controllers means you won’t end up tangled in wires.
The new Keis B501W Premium Heated Ladies Bodywarmer is available in sizes 6-16, and will cost you £150. And as mentioned above, the rechargeable battery packs start from £49.
