Yamaha has been producing some interesting motorcycles, partnering with custom builders for the ‘Yard Built’ series (Did you check out the Yard Built XV950 and XJR1300 last month? Go ahead, we’ll wait for you to get back), based on the Sports Heritage Range.
The complete list of Sports Heritage bikes are the VMAX, VMAX Carbon, XJR1300, XJR1300 Racer, XV950R, VX950, VX950 Racer and the SR400.
But apparently Yamaha is keen to move things on as other manufacturers have also realised they can sell new bikes which can be customised with off-the-shelf bits, rather than forcing people to actually put some effort into finding the right old knacker to turn into a Shoreditch special.
So apparently the next wave of Sports Heritage bikes are on the way, based around a philosophy of ‘Faster Sons’. All we know is that it potentially means some new bikes and some interesting new customs. Especially when the first promo video features Chabott Engineering and Shinya Kimura, and something very interesting and shiny on two wheels.
See what we mean?
