Fancy a classic 1970s two-stroke? We last mentioned ‘friend of Rescogs’ John Wyszomierski when he was reviving a Ducati Monster on a budget in his kitchen. That bike went to a good home, and he’s now looking for a buyer for his 1972 Yamaha YDS7 250 to allow him to fund a new purchase.

The Yamaha is an Italian import which is UK registered on a K plate. It’s got all the Italian paperowkr, NOVA form and air-cooled RD club dating certificate, with a fresh MOT and tax. You’ll need to be quick to snap this up before the tax rules change in October!
Not only is it running well, but the YDS7 was dry stored in Italy for years and has just 15,000km on the clocks (Less than 10,000 miles).
The petrol tank has some small dents but the paintwork all appears original. The chrome also is generally very good including on the pipes, but the clocks and forks are pitted, and the current tyres fitted are the old ones which would need changing. The seat base is very good and the cover has just a small tear glued down at the rear.
In addition to the very original condition, including the OEM grey cables, there are some new repro indicators, a spare LHS engine case, and the bike has benefitted from a new battery, carb rubbers and clips, plugs and fuel lines.
So if you’re tempted, you’ll probably need to be quick. John is looking for £1595 ono and you can contact him on 07904-455985.
Sorry for the reply today …. but I would like to know if this Yam is sold …! If not yet I’m interested in …
