New NEXX X.RALLY Helmet For Hard Enduro And Off-Road Riding

Protection is important if I’m riding trails or motocross tracks, mainly because I’m not the most experienced and will probably end up falling over at least once or twice. So while I don’t have the skills to justify the cost of the new NEXX X.RALLY helmet for hard enduro and off-road riding, I do have the crash testing ability to need it.

Two of the models in the X.RALLY range, the Plain (£359.99) and the Yuma (£429.99) used the X-Matrix 2 composite shell. The other six options range from the Pro at £499.99 to the FIM Racing #2 at £649.99, and all feature an X-PRO carbon shell which weighs just 1350g, minimising neck ache and tiredness, but still offering strength and impact protection, as well as being fully ECE 22.06 certified. Three shell sizes cover the range to provide a good fit.

The X.RALLY also has the new X-Foam lightweight EPP crash bumpers covering the bottom trim including the chin, to help absorb the engery from any crash, and reduce the risk of collarbone injuries.

To offset the price a bit, you can switch your helmet between the full off-road set-up, the on-road option without the peak catching every bit of wind possible, and the dual sport combo of visor and winter chin vent. So it’s basically three lids in one with a photochromatic visor which will automatically change between tinted and clear as the light changes throughout the day, and the NEXX Recoil Visor System which tensions the visor to provide a great seal and noise insulation. Plus each helmet comes with a new Pinlock 200 XLT Max Vision anti-fog insert.

Dual sport and off-road riding can be hot and sweaty work, so the X.Rally has nine air intakes and six exhaust outlets, plus the NEXX patent-pending Mid Air Flow Chamber to help regulate the temperature, and a removable, washable, anti-sweat and anti-allergic liner.

Other features include 3D formed pads, with the cheeks including the X-HIDRO system for bladder tubes and mouthpieces to hydrate on the move, ear pocket custouts for intercom systems, and you can add a POV camera mount kit to film your rides. The double D-Ring fastener comes with an X-Lock magnetic button.
