Still a relatively new brand in the UK, operated by massive Chinese firm Loncin, the new £4,999 Voge R625 arrives in UK dealers with more power and torque, the features you’d expect on a modern motorcycle, and an agressively low price.
The replacement for the A2 licence-friendly Voge R525 which launched in 2022, the new bike is powered by the third evolution of the firm’s parallel twin engine. With an extra 87cc capacity, the Euro5+ motor puts out 64.3hp and 58Nm of torque, moving to a 270 degree firing order to reduce vibrations and improve acceleration.
Along with the larger 581cc engine, Voge have also tweaked the double cradle steel chassis for better quality and more comfortable riding, with KYB suspension from and rear with updated damping, Nissin brakes with Bosch ABS, Pirelli Angel GT tyres on the lightweight 10-spoke wheels, and a revised slipper clutch to reduce real wheel chatter if you’re shifting quickly down the gears. Tank capacity is 16.5 litres, with a quoted range of 215 miles (350km).
Weight comes in at a manageable 190kg with a seat height of 785mm and a fairly slim width, and you get all of the electronic goodies and aids expected by a modern motorcyclist, including LED lighting, a full colour TFT screen, handlebar mounted USB charger, switchable ABS and traction control, and a choice of riding modes.
By way of comparison, the 2025 Voge R625 is priced £4,999, up against a variety of bikes from 600 to 800cc. The 67hp Kawasaki Z650 comes in at £6,999, while the 72hp Yamaha MT-07 will cost you £7,700. The Chinese CF Moto 675NK is quoted at 70kW of power, and is on sale for £6,499, and the 46hp parallel twin Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is £6,899, with the Classic 650 at £6,799 and Bear 650 at £6,749.
All of those bikes have a variety of engine types, power output and features which can make the additional investment worthwhile. But it’s hard not to be impressed that the Voge R625 is available for less than five grand with a two year unlimited warranty (plus £200 OTR charges).
