Whether or not you usually watch the Endurance World Championship motorcycling racing, don’t miss the 2025 FIM EWC Bol d’Or finale this weekend.
The fourth and final race of the season challenges teams to survive 24 hours of riding around the Circuit Paul Ricard in France, and none of the titles have been decided yet. That includes the top FIM Endurance World Championship, the World Cup for Superstock, and the new production-based Endurance World Trophy.
In the FIM Endurance World Championship, any one of five teams is in contention with just 20 points splitting them, and a maximum of 65 up for grabs. It’s headed by Yamalube YART Yamaha EWC Official Team by one point from the BMW Motorrard World Endurance Team. Kawasaki Webike Trickstar is five points of the top, Yoshimua SERT Motul are 15 points behind in fourth and ERC Endurance #6 are fifth and 20 points behind.
The World Cup class comes down to two leading teams, with the BMW of Team Etoile five points ahead of the National Motos Hona FMA squad. Meanwhile Team Supermoto Racing do have an 18 point lead in the Production World Trophy, but Artec #199 can still catch them. Even the manufacturer battle is close in the top class, with BMW leading Yamaha by 1 point, and Honda just a further point behind.
And there are plenty of riders competing who will be familiar to British motorcycle fans, including Jason O’Halloran, Sylvain Guintoli, Dan Linfoot, Ilya Mykalchyk, along with the likes of Karel Hanika, Markus Reiterberger, Mike Di Meglio, Randy de Puniet, and more.
The 88th Bol d’Or begins with a traditional ‘Le Mans’ style running start on Saturday, September 20th with live coverage in the UK via TNT Sports from 3pm until midnight, and then again on Sunday throughout the day. Don’t forget, it’s also the Assen British Superbikes round this weekend, so it might take some channel hopping to catch it all.
