You might need one crash helmet to cover riding on streets and off-road, or just like the more rugged look for cruising around town. In either case, the new entry-level NEXX Y.TRAVL adventure helmet is a cost-effective option which doesn’t look radically different to the more expensive helmets in the range, like the X.LIFECOUNTRY CARBON.
Two sizes of the Polyfusion thermoplastic shell are produced to provide a suitable basis for S-XXL fitments, with the aerodynamic shape designed to reduce turbulence and neck fatigure. The off-road peak also has an anti-vibration system, or can be removed if you prefer. There’s an extra-wide aperture for peripheral vision, the main visor is Pinlock-ready, and uses the NEXX X-Swift Quick Release system so you can change it in seconds, plus you also get an integrated drop-down sun visor.
The Y.TRAVL has vents at the chin and crown, and channels within the EPS liner to keep your head cool, along with a removable and washable hypoallergenic and antibacterial soft touch X-Mart Dry fabric lining. There’s also 3D padding and an Emergecy Strap System V2 to allow the helmet to be removed safely in an emergency.
Along with camera mounting points, the helmet will accept the NEXX X-Com3 intercom systems, and it comes with a Pinlock 70 anti-fog insert as standard. The NEXX Y.TRAVEL is ECE22.06 certified for road use, and available from £179.99 in plan Black or White. The Quest graphics come in five colours for £219.99, and you also get an additional smoked visor.
