Both the factory and museum are currently undergoing major renovations and improvements, due to be completed in 2026. So it’s the last chance to see the collection of more than 150 Moto Guzzi motorcycles from every era in the current setting. Along with the various other bikes on display in separate exhibitions, or ridden to the event by riders from around the world.

The idea for Moto Guzzi came from two aircraft pilots and their mechanic as they served together during World War 1, and the wings on the company logo commemorates Giovanni Ravelli, who died in a plane crash just days after the war had ended. This led to the company being formed in 1921 by Giorgio Parodi and his brother Angelo, with Carlo Guzzi originally reciving royalties for each bike produced from his designs.

Since 2004, Moto Guzzi has been a subsidiary of Piaggio, with the current 2025 range including the V7, V85, V100 and Stelvio models. Obviously there’s the chance to test ride new bikes, in case you fancy buying one while you’re there. The Moto Guzzi open days have been held in Mandello del Lario since 2001, with tends of thousands of Guzzi fans turning up.
