Motorcycle jeans have become a popular alternative to leather in recent years, especially if you’re commuting in warm weather. And female riders have a further option with the new Oxford Demiwax women’s motorcycle leggings.
More choice is always a good thing, with the CE AA certifed leggings offering CE Level 2 dynamic kee and hip protectors, reinforced impact abrasion zones, and internal overlock striching to reinforce the critical seams.
Not being female, or remotely fashionable, I can’t vouch for the looks or the figure-hugging fit beyond the fact they don’t look particularly outlandish. And are definitely a better option than nipping out in some high street leggings or jeans, especially with the wax Armourlite on the front, and fabric Armourlite at the rear.
It’s easy to give into temptation if you’re just popping out into town, but proper motorcycle kit will make a big difference even in a low speed incident. Even on a 50cc scooter, normal clothes will be worn through by a slow spill onto Tarmac, even if it took me some personal experience and a ruined pair of suit trousers to realise it.
They’re a slim fit design with stretch fabric for comfort, with the outer being breathable and moisture wicking. And along with two rear pockets, there’s a belt loop to keep them in place if you need it, which also allows you to use Oxford’s belt connector to attach any of the brands jackets.
