Apparently the new Oxford Holton MS leather jacket is part of a range celebrating 50 years since the company started. And it seems like a fairly stylish celebration, with a subtle and classic design.
Made from full grain bovine leather, it’s got a worn-in look with soft edging on the collar, and an Oxford 50 years heritage leather patch along with a heat embossed logo. And you can choose from black with white stipes on the arms, or brown with black stripes.
And there are good reasons to take a look, even if you’re not fussed about celebrating the 50th anniversary of the company, which started selling top boxes and fairings back in the 1970s.
Inside the Holton, you’ll find Level 2 CE shoulder and elbow protectors, along with a pocket for a back protector, and a cotton lining. The central YKK zip is concealed so you don’t scratch your petrol tank with it, while the others have leather zip pullers, so you can access the pair of size and chest pockets without taking your gloves off. And there’s also an intenral pocket with a zip for more storage.
Belt attachment loops allow you to fasten the Holton jacket to jeans and prevent it from rising up when you’re riding, and alongside the reinforced safety seams are hidden stiching to keep the protection in place, along with an elbow seem to make those protectors more comfortable.
The new Oxford Holton MS Leather Jacket is available in Black or Brown in sizes S-3XL, and costs £279.99. Also in the Holton range are matching Black or Brown leather motorcycle gloves from £39.99, which are Level 1 KP certified with a leather palm and hidden PU knuckle protectors, and a waterproof version in Black only for £49.99.
