It’s not exactly a stealth option, but the 2024 Ducati Panigale V2 is now available in black, if you fancy an alternative to classic red.
The 955cc Superquadro twin-cylinder super sports bike was introduced in 2020, offering 155hp and 104Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. Underneath the new Black on Black Livery and graphics, the bike is pretty much unchanged from last year, with the same electronics package including ABS, traction control, wheel control, quick shifting and engine braking, monocoque frame, single-sided aluminium swingarm, and the two large air ducts under the LED front headlight.
One change for the 2024 model year is that it now comes on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres as standard. These offer a dual compound, wider slick areas on the shoulders of the tyres, and better grip in dry conditions, so should help you get the most out of your new Panigale V2.
The other option if you want different paint is the Ducati Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary edition, which remains available as a special edition with a few performance upgrades including Ohlins suspension.
If you do choose a new Panigale V2 in the Black on Black livery, there are still some Ducati Red details, with the graphics on the tank, fairing and wheels. But it does look pretty good in the darker colour, including the revised seat.
Previously, the second colour option for the Panigale was White Rosso, introduced soon after the bike originally launched. And if you own a current model, there’s a voluntary safety recall in the United States via Ducati North America at the moment due to a software issue causing the headlight to change from low beam to daylight running mode automatically, which can be fixed with a quick update. This impacts 2020-2023 model years, but has now been fixed for any new bikes.
