LS2 Valiant II Flip-Front Helmet Gets New Designs for 2021

LS2 Valiant II Flip-Front Helmet Gets New Designs for 2021

Flip front modular helmets tend to focus more on practicality than style. But maybe that’s changing as the LS2 Valiant II flip-front helmet gets new designs for 2021. Like most similar models, you can get the normal white, black and solid colours, but new for 2021 are the Hub, Citius, and most noticeably, the space-inspired Stelar.

We’ll ignore the fact that the word relating to stars is actually stellar, and focus on the geometric pattern and hints to retro arcade games which young people apparently enjoy as part of something called the ‘vapourwave aesthetic’. So presumably that’s the market LS2 Helmets are aiming at with this design.

The Hub and Citius are more traditional, with a designs which aren’t too outlandish. So they’re more likely to appeal to the traditional touring motorcyclists and commuters.

Under the paint, you’ll find the latest version of the LS2 Valiant II helmet, which is the smallest and lightest yet at 1700 grammes. It’s also claimed to be easy to use with a 180 degree swing around chin bar, and the Valiant II can be used legally as both a full and open face motorcycle helmet.

The visor opens automatically when the chin bar is lifted, and it also has a Pinlock anti-fog shield and a quick release mechanism. For 2021, the outer shell has been redesigned with better ventilation from the two inlets and three exits, and the helmet is LRP 3 Bluetooth ready, with a micrometric buckle fastener.

You can buy an LS2 Valiant II in solid colours from £249.99, with the graphic options starting at £269.99 in sizes XS-XXL.

You can order LS2 helmets online from GhostBikes (or RevZilla in the U.S), including some good discounts and deals. If you’re looking for a new motorcycle helmet, why not check out our other Helmet news and articles, or our previous coverage of the LS2 range?

In 2022, the Valiant models were replaced by the new LS2 Advant Flip-Front motorcycle helmet.
