The 2020 Ducati Panigale V2 Now Comes In White

The 2020 Ducati Panigale V2 Now Comes In White

Some motorcycle manufacturers are forever linked to specific paintschemes. Picture a Ducati, and the odds are it will be red (or yellow if you’re thinking of a late 1990s Ducati 748). But other options are available, as the 2020 Ducati Panigale V2 now comes in white.

Well, it’s not entirely white. As you can see from the Ducati Red wheel rims, front air intakes and the deflectors on the upper half-fairing. But the rest of it comes in Star White Silk.

But we have to admit that it looks pretty good with the constrasting rims. Not so sure about the air intakes, which make it look a bit like a bike with bloodshot eyes the morning after a big night out.

It looks all white. Except for the red bits…

That’s the major change for this year, as the Ducati Panigale V2 arrived in the original Ducati Red paintscheme less than a year ago. So to promote the new colour option, Ducati asked Pramac Racing Team rider Francesco Bagnaia to take it around the Missano World circuit Marco Simoncelli for a few laps.

It seems that “Pecco” Bagnaia enjoyed the job.

“The new livery, so white, is very beautiful and different from the usual. Despite being a street bike, it surprised me how much speed it can have when cornering. It is a fun, very stable and very sincere bike that allows you to go fast, safely, without becoming tired, while having a very strong and decisive character and personality.”

The entry-level Panigale has a Euro 5 955cc Superquadaro twin-cylinder engine producing 155hp at 10,750rpm, and 104Nm torque at 9,000rpm. The small size of the engine gets wrapped in a design inspired by the larger Panigale V4.

And even as a comparative entry-level bike, you still get goodies like the electronic package including Bosch ABS, electronic gearbox, engine braking and wheelie control integrated into the Race, Sport and Street riding modes, which can be modifed via the 4.3″ TFT colour dashboard.

Plus fully adjustable Showa front forks and a Sachs rear shock absorber, Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II multi compound tyres, a Sachs steering damper and Brembo brakes (320mm discs at the front, and a single 245mm disc at the rear).

The 2020 Ducati Panigale V2 now comes in white, with production of the White Rosso livery starting from July 2020. Prices start at £14,995 for Ducati Red, and £15,295 for Star White Silk, compared to the £19,995 for the V4 version.
