Take a look at the new Premier Hyper helmets for 2020 if you fancy wearing something different, with the choice of standard or carbon versions.

The company has been around since 1956, originally launching in the U.S with a range of skateboards and automotive crash helmets. Over the years, Premier moved production to Italy and focused on motorcycle helmets with a wide range of modern and vintage products now available.
The new Premier Hyper helmets feature an outer shell made from an advanced tri-composite dyneema carbon aramic fibre. The full face design comes in two external sizes, with a weight from 1370g.

The interior of the helmet includes a differentiated density EPS liner to absorb impact energy, and a removable and washable antibacterial hyperallergenic fabric to keep you comfortable. The Premier Hyper helmets also come with a padding system kit, so you can customise the pads to fit your unique head.

One change to the helmets for 2020 is the quick-release visor, which is now 11% wider. That means a better peripheral vision whether you intend to ride on the road or race circuit. And if you’re planning on competitive motorcycling, there’s a front and central locking mechanism, as required for race helmets, plus a dark visor is included.
For road use, the visor is Pinlock-ready and comes supplied with an anti-fot insert.
There are two air intakes at the front, and an exhaust port at the rear, with a D-ring strap. And the Premier Hyper is full Bluetooth compatible.
The new Premier Hyper Helmets are available in sizes XS-2XL, and cost £269.95 for solid plain colours, or £299.95 for the graphics options.
But there’s also the £389.95 Premier Hyper Carbon available, which also has a trimcomposite fibre shell, but with the visible carbon finish.

In addition to looking cool, the Carbon version also weighs slightly less at 1220 grams for the smaller shell size. Otherwise, the features are the same as the standard helmet.

Going with the carbon option will cost you £389.95, again in sizes XS-2XL. As you’d expect all the Premier helmets are ECE 22-05 approved for use across Europe, but they also come with a comprehensive five year warranty.
Premier Helmets are stocked by a range of UK dealers, and other stockists including Halfords. You can find your nearest dealer via the UK distributer, the Key Collection.
