Ducati MIG-RR Electric Bike Now At Dealers

Ducati MIG-RR Electric Bike Now At Dealers

When does a frame with a wheel at each end, a motor, red paint and the name Ducati not involve a motorcycle? With the Ducati MIG-RR electric bike now at dealers, the answer involves pedals.

And no, it’s not a moped.

You can now test the Ducati MIG-RR at a selection of dealers across Europe

The MIG-RR is an electric mountain bike, or E-MTB, which we’ve talked about a while ago. And the specs haven’t changed, featuring a Shimano motor, Mavic wheels, Renthal handlebars and a paintjob by D-Perf, which is owned by Aldo Drudi. All names you’d generally associate with a Panigale rather than a push bike.

It certainly won’t look out of place as paddock transport. Although it’s surprising they haven’t found a way to still feature some desmodromic valves somewhere. Can it really wear a Ducati name without them?

What’s changed is that the enduro E-MTB is available on schedule as it’s now in stock to test via 136 Ducati dealerships across Europe.

Countries covered include Italy, France, Germany, Spain, the UK, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Norway, Greece, Finland, Denmark, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Hungary.

A Ducati for those who like pedalling…

So if you fancy swapping leathers for Lycra, you can book a test ride by finding one of the dealers with a bike available to test via a dedicated website.

For those pondering the difference between an electric bicycle, an electric moped and an electric motorcycle, the difference comes down to power.

To be an electric bicycle, you need pedals that can propely it, and the engine can produce no more than 250 watts of power and cut out at 15.5mph. From that point it becomes an electric moped. Until it reaches 4kW of power, at which point it’s a motorcycle.

So if you want to use cycle lanes, with the Ducati MIG-RR electric bike now at dealers, it’s your best option.
