The 2018 Touratech Travel Event takes place at the Rheola Grounds in South Wales on May 11-13, 2018. It’s been run for 10 years to offer a weekend of everything related to adventure riding in the Brecon Beacons. And it’s free to attend and exhibit. One of the attractions will be to try a Ducati Multistrada Experience, which allows you to try out the Italian adventure bikes off-road or on Tarmac.
The Ducati Multistrada Experience is being held for the second year at the event. And the DRE Multistrada truck will be turning up in South Wales with 28 Multistrada bikes from Italy. That includes 12 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro motorcycles kitted out for off-road use. And 16 more Ducati Multistradas for the road, with twelve 1260 and four 950 models.
And the Ducati Multistrada Experience doesn’t just include the motorbikes. Also at the event will be instructors from the DRE Enduro Academy in Italy, led by former Dakar rider Beppe Gualini.
The Ducati Riding Experience team will be setting up equipment to replicate the DRE Enduro environment, and you’ll get 45-60 minutes to find out more about the capabilities of the Multistrada. It’s suitable for everyone from beginners to more experienced adventure riders to try out the motorcycles and improve their skills with qualified instructors. So it’s great if you are considering buying a Multistrada, or trying out a full Ducati Riding Experience.
If you’d prefer to try out a Multistrada on the roads, that’s also available. A road demo will lead you through the local South Wales countryside on a specially selected route. So it should be a nice and scenic way to test a new Ducati. Plus other bikes from the 2018 Ducati Roadshow fleet will also be there, including the Scrambler range.
That means more than 140+ free ride-outs, with pre-registered bookings and additional spaces for anyone turning up on the day. So you’ll need to get there early and reserve your slot at the Ducati truck.
You just need to make sure you bring your driving license, and suitable riding kit for road or off-road fun to take advantage of the free experience.
The 2018 Touratech Travel Event has plenty of other attractions to entertain you besides the Ducati Multistrada Riding Experience, with workshops and talks, celebrities, trade stands and exhibitors, a gymkhana and range of manufacturers and other displays. It runs from Friday 12 noon on May 11th, 2018, until 4pm on Sunday, May 13th, 2018. And it’s located at the Rheola Gounds, Glynneath Road, Resolven, Neath, South Wales, SA11 4DT.
