The 2018 Peugeot Kisbee 50 has been one of the top-selling scooters in Europe for a number of years. It’s generally either been the best seller, or near the top of the sales charts, including leading the pack for 3 years running from 2013-2016. And the 2018 model gets new colours, signature lighting and an updated Euro 4 engine.
The ‘twist and go’ automatic CVT transmission makes it easy to ride, along with a low 780mm seat height and a weight of just 95kg. Which also means the 6.8 litre fuel tank can keep you riding for quite a while with a quoted 108mpg potentially possible. And the economy has been further increased by adding a new Dell ‘Orto electronic carburettor to improve the air/fuel mixture going into the four-stroke motor. To meet the Euro 4 regulations, the CO2 and hydrocarbon emissions have also been reduced as a result.
The standard 2018 Peugeot Kisbee 50 colours of Black or White have been joined by the return of the Flat 6 Red paint scheme. I’m not sure about the link between name and colour as Red tends to be associated with Italian machines, but the flat 6 engine tends to turn up in Porsche and Subaru cars. Or previous Honda Goldwing and Valkyrie motorcycles.
Also joining the line-up is the 2018 Pegueot Kisbee 50 RS Trim, which adds a sportier look. And now comes in the tastefully named ‘Mad Grey’.
The RS version looks fairly decent, but I don’t associate grey with going particularly crazy. But if you do live life on the edge on your 50cc scooter, then at least you get chunky 12″ wheels, sports profile tyres and telescopic front forks to cope with the insanity.
Back on the practical side, there’s the spacious dual seat and flip-out pillion foot pegs which is definitely useful. Also with the fuel tank beneath the riders feet to lower the centre of gravity, there’s a lockable storage bay big enough for a full-face helmet under the seat.
And you also get a 24-month warranty with the 2018 Peugeot Kisbee 50. New prices do seem to have increased slightly over recent years. The standard 2018 Peugeot Kisbee 50 now costs £1599. And the RS Trim version will set you back £1649.

hello, can you confirm the statement ”Also with the fuel tank beneath the riders feet” on the kisbee 2018 euro4 in 4 strokes [version RS or not] ?
This is a big change since the previous version has the tank at the back, like any chinese scooter.
Does this mean the luggage is even bigger than before ? what fills the space taken previously by the fuel tank ?
Can you tell more about the reference of the new carburetor ?
kind regards
alan
