Prescott Bike Festival has been around since 2011 as a motorcycle event which raises money for Severn Freewheelers Blood Bike group and the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes. And it’s grown so much that the Prescott Bike Fest 2018 spreads to two days across the weekend of April 14 and 15 to include more attractions and attract more money for a great cause.
While the traditional track action, including your chance to ride the Prescott hill climb, will still all happen on the Sunday, there’s plenty to make Saturday worth visiting as well.
There are plenty of displays, including clubs, more than 100 trade stands, and for the first time an Electric Avenue. That will include electric vehicles from TT Zero, Formula E, electric road bikes and the new electric Harley-Davidson, plus universities showing how the latest technology is being developed.
Traditional petrol engines will still dominate though. Paddock Specials will include a 1903 Royal Sovereign, the creations of builder and engineer Alan Millyard, and Zef Eisenenberg with the Max Mad Race Team. Which includes the 235mph jet-turbine Madmax and a new V8. Plus a whole range of historic, modern and racing motorcycles.
Manufacturers supporting Prescott Bike Fest 2018 and displaying their latest machines including Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Triumph, Honda and MV Agusta. And there will be celebrity guests, plus entertainment including live music throughout the weekend. Plus a celebration of regional gin makers, and more than 20 craft beers available in the live marquee.
Sunday will have all the hill climb track action. You can book in advance to ‘Run the Hill’ yourself before places sell out if you fancy having a go. Or you can also take a spot for a passenger ride experience if you’d rather let someone else show you how to get up the ascent quickly.
As Prescott Bike Fest 2018 spreads to two days, you’ll want to keep April 14th and 15th clear. It all takes place at Prescott Speed Hillclimb, Gotherington, Cheltenham, GL52 9RD. So far, the event has raised more than £200,000 for charity, and looks set to increase that number by a substantial amount this year. A record number of more than 6,000 people turned up in 2017, so it’s likely to be a record breaking year again.

- Under 16s go free when accompanied by a paying adult
- Saturday: 11:00am until 11:00pm
- Sunday: Gates open 08:30; track action starts 09:30, closes at 17:00
