Whether you’re starting out on motorcycling with a strict budget, fancy a spare lid for bad weather or track days, or need something for a pillion, there’s always a reason to pick up something cost-effective. And the new LS2 Rapid motorcycle helmet looks like a reasonable choice for just £49.99 in plain colours. Unusually, it’s available in various shell sizes for a better fit, and has features you’d expect to usually pay a bit more to get. It sits in the LS2 range as more of a touring helmet than the full-on race option, or the flip-front Valiant.
The LS2 Rapid motorcycle helmet is a full-face road and touring option. And it looks decent enough in terms of design. The outer shell is available in three sizes, which means it should be easy to find a decent fit for your head. When it comes to construction, the shell is a mix of what appears to be high temperature thermo plastic and weighs 1250g.

The quick-release visor is scratch and UV-resistant, and ready for a Pinlock system. Inside the LS2 Rapid motorcycle helmet is a removable and washable hypoallergenic liner. And there’s flow-through ventilation with adjustable intake ports, internal channels and exhaust ports to keep you cool. You also get a neck roll and reinforced chin strap with a quick-release buckle.

The LS2 Rapid motorcycle helmet is available in sizes XS-XXL (53-64cm), and prices start at £49.99 for plain colours, or £59.99 for graphic choices. And there’s a pretty impressive range of 11 to pick from with Solid White, Matt Titanium (light or dark options), and Black. Then there’s a Crypt design in Black/White, Poppies in White/Black or White/Pink, the Grid design pictures above in White/Red, and the Carborace above in White/Black, plus the Carrera with Black and Hi-Viz Yellow and the Deadbolt in Matt Black and Orange. And they’re available in dealers across the UK.
