The New Keis Premium V501 Heated Vest

The New Keis Premium V501 Heated Vest

October 11, 2017 By DanThornton Leave a Comment

Cold weather can be a real problem when you’re riding motorcycles. The idea is to be cruising down a sunny highway with a cooling breeze. And the reality is that you’re slowly freezing on a wet and cold dual carriageway. But at least the new Keis Premium V501 heated vest might help.

The Keis Premium V501 Heated Vest

I used to be a bit dubious about adding lots of heated kit. But the Keis Premium V501 Heated Vest draws a modest 1.5A current, and has an 18W power output. Plus it can run either directly from your motorcycle battery, or via an optional extra Keis lithium batter pack. So you don’t have to drain the power from your bike, and can walk around whilst still keeping toasty.

So why consider the Keis in particular? Well, it uses micro carbon fibre panels. And obviously any carbon fibre will instantly make you faster. But they also deliver an even spread of heat. And they’re so reliable, that Keis offers a lifetime warranty. Which is pretty reassuring.

Heated vests are definitely a good idea. While gloves and boots can keep your extremities warm, having your core body area at a comfortable temperature will help your chest, kidneys, and the blood flow. Which makes everywhere feel a bit better.

The Keis Premium V501 Heated Vest is made from a breathable, lightweight soft shell fabric with elasticated side panels. And there are two external pockets for phones and wallets. Plus dedicated zipped pockets for cables and a controller, so you don’t misplace anything.

The vest is available in Black with Red side panels, and the unisex style is available in chest sizes 36″-52″ (XS-5XL), and will cost you £149.99. But for a limited introductory offer, they’ll also throw in a free Heat Controller worth £34.99.
