June 4, 2017 By DanThornton Leave a Comment

Barbersride 2017 is a new charity motorcycle ride taking place in July. It’s been organised by Harley-Davidson owner Colin Petrie who owns barbershop Hard Grind in Dundee. And it will raise money for Great Ormond Street and The Lions Barber Collective, who are an international group of barbers committed to raising awareness for the prevention of suicide. The 500 mile ride from Dundee to London is being sponsored by Harley-Davidson UK and Ireland.

The Barberside starts on Saturday, July 22nd, and will have a collection of barbers and 25 guest riders. Donations will be collected on the way to London, and evening stopovers will feature parties, and barber seminars.

You can buy a ticket to take part in the full trip, or also buy attendance tickets to evening events on the way to London, which include Robin Hood Harley-Davidson and men’s grooming product specialists Captain Fawcett in Kings Lynn. The Barbersride 2017 will finish in Shoreditch, London on Wednesday, July 26th.

“Bringing my love of bikes and barbering to the road has been a dream event for some time. To have the overwhelming support of such great sponsors, especially Harley-Davidson themselves, is beyond what we could have hoped for and has really taken this ride to the next level,” said Colin Petrie.
