Add Illumination With SW Motech Evo Spotlights

Add Illumination With SW Motech Evo Spotlights

June 16, 2017 By DanThornton Leave a Comment

Want to see further ahead, and make yourself more visible to car drivers? Then you need more illumination. And the SW Motech Evo Spotlights will give you just that. Useful if you want to explore off the beaten track, regularly ride down dark lanes at night, or just want that dozy driver at the roundabout to notice you.

The spotlights use LEDs, which mean that they’re powerful, long-lasting and maintenance-free. It also means that they consume less power than the traditional-style bulbs, so you’re not putting a load of extra strain on your battery. Plus the SW Motech Evo Spotlights come in a completely sealed, 100% waterproof, tough aluminium casing to keep them well protected.

Lighting up your bikelife should be fairly easy. The spotlights connect direct to your motorcycle battery. So there’s no messing around to change the wiring on your bike. And they come with a splash-proof handlebar switch, which is illuminated so you can find it in the dark.

The SW Motech Evo Spotlights are pretty versatile. You can mount them either horizontally or vertically. And you can fit them to crash bars, frame tubes, or using bike-specific mounts available separately. And as they’re just 7.1 cm in diameter, you won’t look like a Dakar wannabe. But you will benefit from the choice of either the 275 Lumen Fog Light version, for a wider horizontal spread of light. Or to blind the sleepiest car drivers, the 375 Lumen ‘High Beam, for a narrow, powerful illumination.

The SW Motech Evo Spotlights come with the appropriate ECE test mark, and cost £271.99 for a pair. Each set comes with the required wiring harness and fuse, handlebar switch and mounting materials. You can also buy separate clamp mounts for 22mm, 26mm, 27mm and 28mm crash bars, or bike specific frame mounting kits.
