Ever ridden the perfect motorcycle and then discovered it’s a bit uncomfortable? Or worse still, only realised after you’ve bought it? The good news is that you can often imporve things a lot by making a few small changes. For instance, adding multi-position, adjustable SW-Motech Evo footrests.
It’s not as exciting as a new exhaust or suspension, but these replacement pegs have been designed to help taller riders and those with longer legs. The SW-Motech Evo footrests can fit a wide range of dual sport and touring motorcycles, and allow you to increase the leg room by lowering the height and adjusting the angle of the foot.

You get 18 degrees of rotation backwards or forwards. You can also lower the pegs by up to 15mm, with 10 positions between that and standard.
The SW-Motech Evo footrests also have a larger contact area with a profiled rubber insert to minimise vibration and give firm grip – especially when you might be riding off-road and standing on the pegs. Or you can remove the insert if you prefer just the bare metal.

Each SW-Motech Evo Footrests kit is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, and has CNC-milled aluminium alloy footrest links. They’re made to fit the original footpeg mounts for each available motorcycle, and come with all the fixtures and instructions you’ll need to swap things over.
At £125.99, they’re a cost-effective way to improve comfort. Or replace the original pegs if you’ve damaged them. And it’s definitely cheaper than having to sell your bike after taking your first long-distance trip and realising you have longer legs than you realised.
Will the motel pegs fit a Z100sx 64 plate?
Sadly the SW Motech site only lists Kawasaki Z1000 fitment for the ’06-’09 model ( http://shop.sw-motech.com/nocache/en/by+products/Ergonomics/Footrest+Kit/index,w148901089020757,s50.htm) , but if you want to suggest it, I’m sure they’d consider adding to the range if there is enough demand, and their email is info@sw-motech.com
