Skidmarx Screens for the BMW S1000RR

Skidmarx Screens for the BMW S1000RR

November 23, 2016 By DanThornton Leave a Comment

Just a quick post to share the news that there are now Skidmarx screens for the BMW S1000RR available. They’re designed to fit the current 2015-2017 model.

Skidmarx Screens for the BMW S1000RR

There are a trio of Skidmarx screens to choose from. First up is your standard replacement screen, which is available in either clear or tinted flavours. It’ll cost you £59.95.

There’s also a Skidmarx BMW S1000RR race-based double bubble screen. That one should create an air pocket for you to hunker down in when you’re at higher speeds. That version costs £64.95 and comes in clear, light and dark grey tints.

And there’s a taller TT style Skidmarx screen, based on the style used by Isle of Man racers. It’s a bit taller, so you get protection from the elements without having to hug your petrol tank quite so closely. Also handy if you’re a taller rider. You can choose from clear acrylic and tinted options – again for £64.95.

The Skidmarx screens for the BMW S1000RR are made in the UK from tough 3mm cast acrylic, and come pre-drilled, so they’re ready to bolt straight onto your fairing.

And if you’re planning on just using your BMW for track days or actually racing, then Skidmarx will also supply screens. The actual race versions are 33% thinner than the road versions, so you save a bit of weight by not worrying so much about longevity. After all, you hope there’s less debris and rubbish on the average track.

Plus the race screens thinner style also helps you see through them a little more easily, as you’re spending more time crouched. As a bonus, the race screens are also slightly cheaper at £49.95.

So whether you want a race screen, standard replacement, a double bubble or a TT tall version, the Skidmarx screens for the BMW S1000RR should have you well covered.
