If you follow MotoGP or have a particular interest in Austrian motorcycle manufacturers KTM, you’ll know they’re entering the premier MotoGP class for the first time in 2017.
The KTM RC16 MotoGP bike was officially revealed in August at the Red Bull Ring, and the rider line-up has recently been confirmed as Pol Espargaro and Britain’s Bradley Smith. Both have signed a two-year deal which will keep them at KTM until the end of 2018.
In the meantime, just listen to the 2017 KTM RC16 MotoGP engine being tested in this video. If you’re not interested in the technical aspects, just skip to one minute and 20 seconds to find out what the bike will sound like when it’s being ridden in anger.
Obviously we don’t know how KTM will fair in their first season in the premier class. But regardless of how the RC16 performs on track, we can at least confirm it’ll sound great!
