The Venhill VT15 Tool Roll is a handy and attractive bit of kit. If you ride a classic or custom motorcycle, you’ll know that they occasionally need repairing when you’re on the road. And while it’s a worthwhile trade-off for riding something with a bit of character, it’s also a real pain if all you have to hand is a wallet and your keys.
Hence the need for something like the VT15, which is a tool roll made from heavy-duty waxed cotton and measuring roughly 24cm x 36cm (9.5 x 14 inches) when it’s open. And inside are nine pockets and an elastic strap for driver handles.
You can roll it up and fasten it with two oiled leather straps and metal buckles, which gives it a nice vintage look when it’s stuck on the back of your bike.

But then again, it’s one of those things that becomes priceless if it means you’re not stuck on the side of a dual carriageway in the rain.
It’ll also be handy to have in a car, particularly if you’ve got a classic. And if you don’t learn basic mechanical skills through either enthusiasm or necessity, you could always use it to store some emergency bars of chocolate…
