The SW-Motech Legend Gear Luggage for the Triumph Street Twin mixes modern materials with retro designs for a rather natty result.
The waxed canvas and Napalon synthetic leather result in a vintage look which suits the retro Triumph. But the inside has a polyurethane coating, waterproof inner bags and rain covers. So just like the bike is a bit more reliable than the original classic would be, the luggage should keep your belongings drier and more secure.
Another nice retro touch is the military-style attachment system, with webbing loops and alloy hooks. It means you can get bags on and off quickly, but also allows you to pretend you’re a motorcycle messenger in the 1940s.
The SW Motech Legend Gear Side Bag Set costs £336.99 with the Side Carrier SLC – that means it fixes with discrete and lightweight pannier rails.
Other Legends Gear luggage include the LT1 and LT2 Tank Bags, which are £69.99 and £110.99 respectively.
And at the rear can be a choice of the 17.5 lite LR1 Tailbag for £140.99 or the larger 48-litre LR2 Tailbag for £224.99.
Plenty of luggage space, and the side bags don’t add too much width if you’re planning on commuting and fitting between traffic.
If you want more bits for the Triumph Street Twin, then SW Motech also produce an aluminium Engine Guard for £102.99 to protect your engine casings, a 27mm Crashbar for £87.99 and a steel grill Headlight Guard for £87.99.
The Engine Guard and Crashbar are nice practical additions, and the Side Bag Set are a stylish way to add a bit of luggage capacity to your bike. And they’re stylish enough to be able to get away with carrying them into the office or the pub after work. Particularly handy if you need to carry some spare clothes into work.
