There were less motorcycles than usual at the Medway Cruise for September 2015. Blame the changeable weather for the penultimate meet of the year.
There were a smattering of sportsbikes, with the odd Yamaha R1, a KTM RC8 and a few others. Plus a small selection of nakeds, including a Suzuki GSX1400, and the ubiquitous Bandits. Plus a nice Yamaha flat tracker, and a Yamaha X600 owned by Angus, a friend of Rescogs.
Not bad for a recent £1400 purchase, and Angus has a shopping list of things to do, including replacing the mirrors and making the seat a bit more comfortable. But it’s one of the best things about motorcycles – a £1400 XJ600 Diversion engined budget bike was getting admiring glances in a car park filled with classic American hot rods and muscle cars, sports cars and the like. All of which cost several times more.
It may have been a bit overshadowed by the Yamaha flat tracker next to it though.
The Yamaha definitely looked more comfortable.
Other motorcycles included a few classics, but sadly we weren’t able to photograph most of them due to technology limitations. The final Medway Cruise for the year takes place at the Chatham Dockyard Outlet Centre on the first Thursday in October.
