2016 KTM SX range unveiled

The 2016 KTM SX range have been revealed, and over 90% of the parts on the bikes are new. The KTMs were unveiled by factory riders Jeffrey Herlings and Tony Cairoli at Maggiora in Italy.

It’s a big year for KTM as more than 90% of parts on the 2016 range are new. Examples include the AER 48 Air Forks developed by WP in collaboration with KTM (U.S bikes will get a refined version of the WP 4CS fork system). Then there’s a new design for the chassis, with a new frame, subframe, footpegs, swingarm, linkage and rear shock to reduce weight and centralise the mass of the bike (All models except the 2016 KTM 250 SX).

The engines have also had complete overhauls. There’s a new two-stroke 125cc motor, plus the four stroke range are smaller and lighter with a new launch control system, an updated EMS with a faster ECU, a new throttle body and the choice of different riding modes.

KTM has recently celebrated the brand’s first 450SX World Championship with Ryan Dungey, and the East 250SX title with Marvin Musquin, in addition to two World Motocross Championship title wins last year. And if the pictures aren’t enough, KTM already have a promo video for the 2016 model year.
