Personally IMHO , it is not really safe to ride with any kind of footware that lace up..quite dangerous in fact. I’m sure if you take a survey or just ask for other comments you’ll find that riders have had mishaps.

Cheers for the comment and I can see your point – I think that’s why more motorcycle shoes and boots tend to have some laces for appearance when you’re not on the bike, and then have zips and other closure systems to keep them secure. And they’re still a better choice than lace up trainers as worn by a lot of people when they’re nipping into town on a sunny day – as long as you keep the laces nice and short!
