Want to buy a 1995 Honda Fireblade once owned by a sporting star, and estimated to sell for just £1500-£2000? This example of the last 1st generation CBR900RR was owned by former boxer Chris Eubank who was well known in the UK during the 1990s due to his rather eccentric personality as much as his achievements as a middleweight and super-middleweight boxer who was undefeated for many years.
A fan of unusual vehicles, Eubank has owned a custom Harley-Davidson, an American Peterbilt 379 truck cab (the largest truck in Europe), and at one time, the only Hummer in the UK and Ireland.

The Eubank 1995 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade is painted with his own red and yellow design featuring his initials and a reference to the Tina Turner song ‘Simply The Best’ he used as entrance music. Paperwork proving his ownership is on file, and it has had two owners since, but still comes with the original exhaust, spare key, owners manual and service book. There’s no performance modifications listed beyond the aftermarket Renegade end can.
The estimate of £1500-£2000 is actually slightly less than the average price for a 1995 Fireblade, so it seems the celebrity connection won’t have much effect unless you’re a particularly obsessive fan of the boxer. But although the unique design means it won’t work as an investment, it might be a way to pick up a tidy ’95 Blade for a reasonable price?
The Chris Eubank Honda CBR900RR Fireblade is one of the lots up for auction at the Spring Stafford Sale at the Staffordshire Country Showground on April 26th, 2015. You can click here to see some more pictures of the Eubank bike and have a think about bidding….
