The 2015 Moto Guzzi V7 II adds two-channel ABS and traction control to the existing V7. The engine has been lowered 10mm and tilted forwards by four degrees, which means more leg room and allows the seat height to also be dropped. As a result, the rider foot pegs are 25mm lower as well.

The clutch actuation has been tweaked, and the Moto Guzzi V7 II Stone will come in 4 matt colours, with the V7 II Special getting 3 colours, and the V7 II Racer sticking with the chrome tank.

Rescogs opinion:
You probably wouldn’t expect us to be too keen on a modern homage to the Guzzi V7 of the late 60s and early 70s. But it’s a nice, honest bike which has received some sensible upgrades. As an Italian retro, it’ll cost more than picking up a secondhand CX and chopping the frame, but for those of us without wielding skills it’s a reasonable choice. And the added ABS, lower seat and increase in leg room mean it’s better for new riders or those of us with legs which aren’t as long as we’d like (like me). The existing modern Guzzi is popular with A2 licence holders, and looks retro enough that non-bikers will think it’s cool.
Obviously we’d be keen on the Racer version, but the Stone is also reasonably priced for something that gives you Italian flair with a more authentic retro feel than a Ducati Monster.
Amazing..!!! Just when I think I’m going to be happy with my 2013 Racer they come out with a V7 2 !! My question is: is it going to be a limited edition / numbered headstock model again,?? Like the idea of the traction control and lower seat height though.. hope the price is the same, just have to get ripped off by the dealer with the trade-in price on mine !!
