Good news for owners and builders of classic Japanese superbikes from the 1970s and 80s. Harris Works Collection have reintroduced the exhaust systems for those bikes, which were originally developed to add ground clearance.
To finish them in black chrome, the chemical compounds used in plating are altered. That’s apparently not an easy process, so all the Harris Works Collection exhausts are made and finished in the same UK production plant to keep quality high.
The Harris Works Collection Black Chrome Systems are currently available to fit the Kawasaki Z650, Z900, Z1000, GPZ1100 and Suzuki GS1000. The 4-into-1 systems can restrict direct access to filters and drain plugs on some models, but centre and side stands aren’t affected. They cost £417.60 with a road legal baffle fitted, with race baffles in a bare finish available for £40.68. Call 01926-832345

So they are still mild steel? Bloody things were rusty before you got them unwrapped, not everything was good about the old days.

You best bet might be to contact Harris Performance https://www.harris-performance.com/ , although they no longer appear to be listing exhausts of their own that I could see, only Akrapovic products…
So the alternative would be either finding one secondhand online, something compatible from another supplier, or even building your own…
