Another great motorcycling moment from the work of Graham Etheridge. This panoramic shot of Brands Hatch in Kent shows the first lap of the 1978 Transatlantic Trophy.
Kenny Roberts is leading the first lap from Mick Grant, Ron Haslam, Pat Hennen, Barry Ditchburn, Dave Potter, Dave Aldana, Skip Aksland, Gene Romero, Steve Manship, Barry Sheene, John Williams and Dave Emde.
Wow, that’s like a who’s who of 70s bike racing really, only persons missing are maybe Steve Baker & Johnny Cecotto (would he be allowed in the US team?) JW
No. He was from Venezuela.
