The new Absolute Zero winter gloves from Spyke are aimed at touring, commuting and city riding – which seems pretty appropriate for winter gloves. And the selling points is that they’re made using the Clarino synthetic leather which is water-resistant, dries quickly, and won’t become inflexible in low temperatures or when it gets wet – unlike cowhide.

It’s still abrasion-resistant and tear-resistant, and also breathable. Other bonuses include the fact it’s washable, and can be easily treated with water repellents. The Absolute Zero gloves have a full Clarino palm which is double-layered in impact areas, with a water-resistant synthetic upper shell. You get stretch panels at the fingers, elasticated wrists and adjustable Velcro cuffs, plus hard-shell protectors at the knuckle and finger joints. You get additional Clarino on the back of the pinkies and reflective detailing will help you stand out in the dark.

The Spyke Absolute Zero Gloves are available in Black only, in Unisex sizes XS-3XL and cost £69.99. COntact 0117-9719200 for more info.
