California Superbike School has announced that prices will remain the same in 2012, starting from £399 for a day at the Silverstone circuit with a qualified riding coach and five technical classroom sessions.
There are opportunities to try three different Silverstone layouts
International Circuit (1.9 mile): March 19 + 20, May 21 +22.
Stowe: April 5+6, May 2+3, June 8, July 12+13, August 10+11, and September 11+12
Internation Circuit (1.6 mile): June 21.
The schools are open to anyone with a full road licence or recognised race licence and are dedicated to the art of cornering. There are four levels to progress through, with the day starting at 7am for registration and ending around 5pm with a debrief. In addition to the five classroom sessions, you also get five track sessions, and 2010 Yamaha R6 bikes are available to hire if you don’t have something suitable available. You can find out more at https://www.superbikeschool.co.uk
The school itself was founded by Keith Code back in 1980, and he’s worked with racers including Wayne Rainey, Wes Cooley, Bubba Shobert, Doug Chandler, Fred Merkel, Scott Russell, Jake Zemke, Ben and Eric Bostrom, Thomas Luthi and Leon Camier.
His books include A Twist of the Wrist, A Twist of the Wrist 2, and there’s also Performance Riding Techniques written by UK School Director Andy Ibbott. A handy reading list over the cold Winter months!
