The latest generation of two-wheeled teenagers will be riding around on the new 2017 Peugeot Speedfight4 125 from next summer. At least that’s what the French scooter manufacturers will be hoping. Along with anyone who gets woken up by the sound of a 10-year-old scooter with a straight through exhaust carrying their neighbours son to his job on the checkout at the supermarket every ruddy day.
Just hope your local tearaways are old enough to ride a 125cc bike. You probably won’t convince them with the news the latest SmartMotion engine offers 134.5mpg, and the economy is increased by Alternative Current Generator (ACG) management, which disables the flywheel during acceleration and deceleration when the battery is sufficiently charged.
But you can explain that it’s liquid-cooled (Like a high spec gaming computer), and the ACG system also makes more power available when you’re pulling away, working with the SYNERJET single-indirect fuel injection.
Don’t mention the 2017 Peugeot Speedfight4 125 also has linked front and rear brakes with the Synchro Braking Concept, which might make stoppies a little harder to achieve outside the chip shop…
It looks alright, though. The 2017 Peugeot Speedfight4 125 125 is also the first scooter from the company to feature 100% LED lighting, including lenticular LED headlamps, “Ice Effect” indicators and most amusingly, the rear light layout which is apparently styled into the ‘three claws’ of the Peugeot lion.
If you’re buying a scooter for your offspring, you can at least relax in the knowledge it’ll be covered by a two-year unlimited mileage parts and labour warranty.
