RGV fans will doubtless know that Suzuki went into the 250 GP series in 1991, and barely threatened the top 10 until they hired the infamous John Kocinski in 1993. He immediately took the XR94 to Suzuki’s first two podium places in years, and then rode as Assen where he took a 3rd.
Just a handful of bikes were built and most ended up racing in Japan as the factory GP effort fizzled away. There are rumours that Kawasaki built something very similar based on a KR1S? Our thorough investigations (Google search when the kettle was boiling) have thrown up no real leads, maybe you know different? Let us know.
