After three years, Casey Stoner and Ducati part ways. The Australian two-time MotoGP champion has been a test rider for the Italian firm since 2016, including developing the Desmosedici GP bike, and the Panigale V4. Stoner has also appeared at various events as a Ducati brand ambassador, including World Ducati Week and other events. He originally rode for the team in 2007, taking the MotoGP title in his first year. And stayed with them until the end of 2010. After retiring from racing in 2012, he tested for other manufacturers and made a … [Read more...]
Pedal Power With The New Ducati MIG-RR Electric Mountain Bike
There's a fair bit of cross over between motorcycling and bicycles. They're both on two wheels. Motorcycle racers are often keen cyclists to stay race it. And middle-aged motorcyclists trying to regain their fitness also commonly embrace Lycra instead of leather. Plus everything is coming together as everything switches to electric power. So it makes sense that you can now pedal way on the new Ducati MIG-RR electric mountain bike. So the new Ducati MIG-RR electric mountain bike will let you pretend to be Andrea Dovizioso (or Danilo … [Read more...]

Only got the budget for a secondhand Italian motorcycle? But want some of the reassurance of buying a new bike through an official dealer? You've now got a new option as Ducati launches a pre-owned approved scheme in the UK. Used approved schemes are already in place for a number of other motorcycle manufacturers. 2019 Ducati XDiavel Gets New Matt Liquid Concrete Grey Paint
We're all familiar with matt paint on motorcycles by now. It's become particularly common in the custom and cruiser world. Although apparently naming it 'matt liquid' is more common when it comes to lipstick. But now the 2019 Ducati XDiavel gets new Matt Liquid Concrete Grey paint. Which makes a change from black for the high-end, performance cruiser. Whether or not it was inspired by cosmetics and breeze blocks, the new Concrete Grey paint does look pretty good. The Ducati XDiavel is not a particularly subtle bike. But the black chassis … [Read more...]

2018 Ducati SuperSport Now Comes Only In Titanium Grey
Think of some motorcycle manufacturers, and you'll tend to think of specific colours. If I say red, you're probably already thinking of Ducati. Aside from special editions, the odds are you're picturing either Rosso Red (pre-2001) or Anniversary Red (2001-on). The only exception one of my dream bikes. For some reason, the Ducati 748 has to be Giallo Yellow. But maybe that association will change in the future. For example, the 2018 Ducati SuperSport now comes only in Titanium Grey. Yep, you can have any colour you like, as long as it's … [Read more...]
Ducati Loans BikeSafe UK A New Police Livery Ducati Panigale V4
I'm a big fan of advanced rider training for motorcyclists. Mainly because we can all benefit from a bit of outside instruction and advice. And the fact it's undoubtedly saved my backside on more than one occasion. So it's nice to report on some manufacturer support, as Ducati loans BikeSafe UK a new police livery Ducati Panigale V4. The Panigale looks quite cool in the police paintscheme. And more importantly it'll be used to promote and help the BikeSafe project. The bike was handed over at an annual Ducati UK track day at Silverstone, … [Read more...]
