Take a Closer Look at Inglorious Motorcycles

The trend for contemporary cafe racers, scramblers and customs has definitely benefitted motorcycling. Whether you like updated classics or not, it's sparked a new wave of interest in biking. From blogs to bike builders, it's made motorbikes cool again, and this film taking a closer look at Inglorious Motorcycles is a good example. Engaged to Death - I Fidanzati Della Morte

Engaged to Death is an Italian motorcycle film originally shot in 1956 with the title I Fianzati Della Morte. It was filmed by Romolo Marcellini, who was nominated for an Oscar in 1961 for a later film, and the timing meant it features the golden age of 1950s Italian motorcycle racing. That means it shows the dominant Moto Guzzi and Gilera machines of the time, including the legendary Moto Guzzi V8. Not only can you admire a rare bike (only three were produced), but it also has the only footage of testing inside the wind tunnel at Mandello … [Read more...]

‘Inside The Passion’ John McGuinness TT Documentary

January 16, 2017 By DanThornton Leave a Comment

Inside the Passion is a new fly-on-the-wall documentary following legendary TT racer John McGuinness. It's the work of Andrew Shim, who you might recognise from his roles in the Shane Meadows TV series This Is England. He's also an amateur MMA fighter and motorcycle racer, so fancied trying to create a documentary free from polished PR-friendly examples which have become normal. Part 1 is live and embedded above, with Part 2 due out this week. It's worth watching and is pretty entertaining. Of course, it helps having a subject who … [Read more...]

Cool new 2017 KTM 125 Duke Promo Video

We live in an age where motorcycling is mostly advertised as a sensible hobby for mature individuals. Between the rules on what you can show in ads, and the best-selling adventure bike category, it's all about getting a good APR rate and fuel efficiency. Which is why we like the cool new 2017 KTM 125 Duke promo video. OK, so the slightly cheesy voiceover at the start does sound more like a teen film featuring unrequited love for a vampire. But the rest of it? Burnouts, wheelies, jumps and pegs down cornering in some abandoned urban … [Read more...]

October 17, 2016 By DanThornton Leave a Comment

It's been a busy weekend for fans of motorcycle racing. The MotoGP title was decided in Japan, while British Superbikes was settled at Brands Hatch. And in the U.S, the 2016 AMA Grand National Championship came down to a final lap battle. From 2017, it's the American Flat Track Championship.
