New Vespa Yacht Club and Double Black special edition helmets are now available. They’ve been released to match the similarly special models of the GTS and Primavera scooters which are also out now. But they’ll also work with other retro bikes, scooters or mopeds. The stealthy dark helmet is designed to work with the GTS Notte scooter.
The Vespa Yacht Club Helmets:
You can choose from Blue or White for the special Vespa Yacht Club helmets. But you’ll need to be quick, as just 250 will be made in either paint scheme. And the issue number will be printed on the eco-leather chinstrap to prove how exclusive it is.
The shell is tough ABS plastic with ECE 22.05 certification to be used on the road. And the Italian-made helmets feature both a plycarbonate 2mm visor and a retractable sun visor. The lining is a breathable textile material which can be removed and washed.
Nothing on the front or rear screams limited edition too much. Which is good if you want to be subtle about it. And given that only 250 models of each colour will be produced, then the price is surprisingly reasonable at £155. And they’re available in sizes XS-XL.
The Vespa VJ Double Black Helmet:
This isn’t a limited run, but it is a special design to match the Vespa GTS Notte. But with a combination of matt and gloss black, with black chromed edging and black-painted steel visor pivots, it’ll go with anything.
You’ll be getting an ABS shell again, with a breathable microfibre 3D textile lining inside. And there’s a full length clear external visor, plus a retractable sun visor. All the new Vespa Yacht Club and Double Black special edition helmets feature a micro-adjustable quick-release strap and fastener. And the Vespa VJ Double Black helmet comes in sizes XS-XL for a cost of £160.
