You can win a KTM 790 Duke for 2 weeks and a VIP MotoGP prize by creating a short video in your spare time. The Austrian manufacturer will lend you the bike and give you tickets to see behind the scenes at Silverstone. All you have to do is create a 60 second clip and publish it online. But you’ll need to be pretty quick, as the competition closes on August 16th, 2018.
The competition will be judged on both how many people you reach with your creation, and the reason for you doing it. So you might want to think about how to get the largest audience possible in a short space of time. But we’d imagine KTM will still want something family-friendly enough that they can potentially publicise your video if you win. And at the same time, the more impressive your reason, the more hope you have of getting the first parallel twin from KTM parked in your garage with 799cc, 105hp, and just 169kg dry weight.
You’ll also win two tickets to the British MotoGP round at Silverstone on August 26th, 2018. You and a friend will receive the full KTM VIP treatment, including meeting the riders, seeing behind the scenes, and enjoying the race in KTM hospitality. And you’ll get a few PowerWear surprises as well, to help remember the day.
The competition is open now, so you need to create your video, and get it online. Make sure you promote it via social media, and include the hashtag #790SUMMER everywhere. Including #KTM and #READYTORACE probably won’t hurt either. And keep it to one minute.
The closing date is August 16th, and the winner will be announced on August 17th. You’ll need to be able to pick up the KTM 790 Duke from Silverstone on Monday, August 20th, and obviously also be available on August 26th to attend the MotoGP round.
There are some restrictions on who can win. You need to be aged 23 or above, hold a full UK A motorcycle licence, have no insurance claims in the last 3 years, and no drink or drug driving convictions in the last 5 years. Which is understandable when KTM will give you a bike, and provide the insurance for your two weeks.
You’ll also need to store the KTM 790 Duke in a locked garage when you’re not riding it. Also a pretty understandable condition of winning a brand new bike for 14 days.
So time to get thinking and filming, as there isn’t too long before the closing date to build up big audience numbers. It’s got to be worth the effort to win a KTM 790 Duke for 2 weeks and a VIP MotoGP prize at Silverstone?
Who knows, maybe this will kickstart a new career for you as a motorcycle vlogger?
