Need a way to carry some of your essential kit whilst riding? And also look like you’re either in the military or a science fiction film? Then the SW-Motech Legend Gear Leg Bag could be the answer you’ve dreamed of. It straps to your thigh via the Legend Gear Holster to give you a place to keep your kit close. And your smart phone and wallet closer.
Joking aside, the SW-Motech Legend Gear Leg Bag does give you a fair bit of storage in a practical way. It’s 19.5cm by 13cm by 5cm, but can hold up to 1.25 litres of stuff. So you get plenty of room for keys, cash and other stuff you might need on the move. And it shouldn’t get in the way too much. Although we’d imagine it’s probably more practical for fairly upright or stretched out riding styles. You probably won’t want to use it if you’re going to try to get your knee down.
The SW-Motech Legend Gear Leg Bag has a Napalon synthetic leather and waxed canvas shell which has a weatherproof PU-coating. And you also get a rain cover included. Inside are padded interior sections with two main storage compartments, three map holders and two pen holders.
To get access without messing around there are two-way zips with large fabric tabs. So you should be able to grab what you need without having to take your motorcycle gloves on and off each time.
If you want to carry the bag on your leg, then it attaches to the Legend Gear Holster, and there’s a strap around the thigh. You can then keep it secure either using your own belt or an optional waist strap. The SW-Motech Legend Gear Leg Bag then goes into place and can be removed with the M.O.L.L.E military-style strap system the company uses. And it can also be stuck to other Legend Gear luggage if you prefer. Or you can stick the Smartphone Bag from the range on top of the leg bag, if you want. At which point you may want to reconsider what you think is essential on a motorcycle trip.
The SW-Motech Legend Gear Leg Bag set includes bag, holster, rain cover and instructions for £49.95.
