Riding in Autumn and Winter isn’t that bad if you have the right kit. Without it, and you can end up wet, cold and tired, which isn’t anyone’s idea of fun. And it’s too easy to spend all your cash on a great textile motorcycle jacket, and then skimp on a cheap pair of trousers. The result is often trying to find an excuse for a soggy crotch. So it’s worth thinking about this new textile trousers from Weise for Winter.
Both the men’s Weise Nemesis textile motorcycle trousers, and the women’s Luna trousers feature the same materials and features for an identical £129.99 price.
Which means 600 denier material, a waterproof, windproof and breathable drop liner, plus a 120-gram thermal quilted liner, which can be removed if you’re a bit too warm. And should it be nice and sunny, there are also zipped vents on the thighs.
The raised back of the waist is handy to avoid water getting in, and there are connecting zips for Weise riding jackets to make it even more comprehensive. Only the male Nemesis trousers come with a zip to attach Weise braces though. In case you enjoy the Oktoberfest or fishing waders approach to trouser security.
Aside from the brace issue, both the Nemesis and Luna trousers come with removable CE-approved knee armour, and a pocket for optional hip armour. And they should be easy to get on and off with an outside leg zipper covered with a Velcro-fastened storm flap, plus a Velcro twin-belt system and poppers on the waist.
You also get a multitude of stretch panels to enable you to move around easily, two concealed external waist pockets which zip up, and some reflective details to help you get seen at night. The Weise Nemesis textile trousers for men come in sizes S-5XL, while the Weise Luna textile trousers for women are in sizes 8-22. As mentioned above, either pair will cost you £129.99.
