Ever get fed up of pushing your bike into the back of your truck? Just invested in some proper metal ramps rather than using an old, bendy plank of wood from the back of your garage? Maybe you gave it just a bit more throttle than was strictly necessary?
Spotted on Facebook, you have to give this chap credit though. Despite a slight speed misjudgment, he does take it in good humour. And he was lucky to escape injury, even if he will have some bits of bike to replace, and probably some soggy feet.
And we do have sympathy, having loaded quite a few bikes over the years. There’s nothing worse than ‘playing safe’ by standing beside a running bike and then remembering you’re only 5ft 8, and the throttle is now 8ft off the ground. Or driving along and hearing the ‘thud’ as your ratchet strap technique is shown to be deficient.
