The Wunderlich Auxiliary Headlight is part of the firm’s ‘Six Days Scrambler’ kit. It’s a tribute to the BMW factory team motorcycles from the International Six Days Trial events in the late 1970s. And it looks great – even though it’s unfortunately not currently approved for road use.
We won’t tell anyone if you happen to accidentally turn it on though. The Wunderlich Auxiliary Light is made from brushed steel, and the chunky wire lens guard gives it a cool vintage look. As does the yellow-tone film supplied with the light, if you don’t want to have it with a clear lens as standard.
The Wunderlich Auxiliary Headlight is designed to fit onto the firm’s engine crash bars, and comes with a mounting clamp, cable harness, switch and switch bracket.
If you want to go the whole hog, you can purchase the full Wunderlich BMW R nineT Six Days Scrambler kit which includes an enduro-style headlight surround and fly screen, crash bar, off-road tyres and spoked wheels, single seat, and a short front and rear mudguard kit, braced enduro-style handlebars, and engine and radiator protection.
Which sounds a little like you’re basically buying an entirely new bike! So if you’d rather start off slowly, the Wunderlich Six Days Auxiliary Headlight costs £209, and will fit all BMW R NineT and BMW R nineT Scramblers equipped with engine bars.
